Frequently Asked Questions

Can't find the question or answer you are looking for below, please contact us - no question is a silly question!

Do I have to have an assessment before care can start?

Yes, whether you are self-funding, referred by the local authority or Care Commissioning Group, you will have an assessment from Montpellier Care. The purpose of an assessment is to meet you, your friends and your family. It also provides an opportunity to understand your routine and the support you want. We will then work with you to create a personalised support plan.

I need to arrange care quickly so my relative can be released from hospital, can you help?

Absolutely, home from hospital is a service we offer. As Montpellier Care offer low level or short term support we have the fortune of being flexible enough to offer this type of support. If you need long term support, we can help to organise this.

How do I pay for the care service?

How you pay for the service will depend on who is funding the care and support. If you are directly funding your support you will receive a monthly invoice. The invoice will provide direction on how to pay the invoice. The invoice will detail the options to set up a direct debit if support is ongoing or a BACS transfer to pay as you go. We would prefer not to accept cash or cheques. However, if this is the only option, please do contact us so we can discuss it further.
Contact us if you require more information.

Can I cancel at any time if I don’t want to continue?

Yes you can. Montpellier Care will never pressurise individuals to proceeding with our support, in fact quite the opposite. Montpellier Care are happy to support you to find alternative support package suitable for you needs. Montpellier Care do not work on a rota system so we are able to offer flexibility of support.  Also you will only pay for the support you have and not tied into contracts with long notice periods. We do however request if you have booked support with us and wish to cancel this you do provide us with as much notice as possible so we able to offer our services to other people who may need us.

Please contact us and ask! We are fully trained and have a lot of experience and various skills sets within the team. We can not list every service we can offer however are committed to creating a tailored care plan that can meet your needs and wishes.

Yes. All our staff are DBS checked and trained to the highest level. If you want to see our staff training records or certificates please ask. Montpellier Care company is currently going through the process of applying for Care Quality Commission (CQC) registration and being added to the approved provider list for the local authority.

Unfortunately, there is no direct answer to this question, but Montpellier Care can certainly help by completing an assessment and offering information and advice. Where practically possible, Montpellier Care would be happy to support someone with Dementia to look at options for support in their own home. Montpellier care can offer an ad hoc, low-level service, but if it is long term support that is needed, we will help to source an alternative appropriate provider.
Acting in an individual best interest is always challenging and daunting. What is in someone's best interest will depend on their needs, values and wishes. Montpellier care does have experience in completing care act assessments, the mental capacity act and Best Interest decisions. We would be more than happy to support navigating through the social care system and provide information and advice if this is what is required.
